Why Getting Personal Online Is What Actually Builds Connection (Meet Me)
Some experts will tell you not to get personal online.
To keep things polished. Professional. Focused only on value.
I’ve never agreed with that.
Because the truth is, people don’t just follow content… they follow people.
And if you never let your audience actually meet you, it’s a lot harder for them to feel connected to what you’re building.
So here’s a little bit of both. A look into me and how this business actually started.
And spoiler… it wasn’t some perfectly mapped out plan.
It happened naturally. Through showing up, sharing what I was learning, and leaning into something I genuinely enjoyed. One opportunity led to another, people started paying attention, and before I knew it, this turned into something real.
That’s usually how it goes.
Not perfect. Not linear. Just consistent action and a willingness to let people in a little bit.
And that’s the part I think a lot of people miss.
You don’t build connection by only posting tips.
You build it by letting people see how you think, what you care about, and what your journey has actually looked like behind the scenes.
That’s what makes someone go from “who is this?” to “I like her” to “I trust her.”
And trust is what turns into clients.
So if you’ve been holding back from sharing more of yourself because it feels unnecessary or “too personal,” this is your reminder that it’s actually one of the most powerful things you can do.
People don’t need more perfect content.
They need something real to connect to.
