Why Customer Service Should Be at the Core of Your Strategy
Believe it or not, customer service actually started as one of my main pillars when I launched Brandakin. But I didn’t always lean into that strength the way I could have, especially during those early social media days.
Looking back now, there are a few easy strategies I wish I had implemented sooner that would’ve saved me time, built stronger connections, and moved the needle on my growth.
Try These Customer Service-Driven Social Media Tips
If I were starting over, here’s exactly what I’d do differently:

Send each new follower a welcome DM
Include a free resource or quick hello. It’s like a digital handshake 🤝 -
Send loyal or long-time followers a thank you message
This could be a voice memo, short video, or personal note. It goes a long way. -
Reply to every single comment
A like is nice, but it’s the equivalent of smiling at a customer in-store and then walking away. Respond like a human would in conversation! -
Engage with your customers' content, too
Think of this as your “small talk” moment,. just like chatting at the register. Build that trust.
These Small Shifts Create Big Impact
Since leaning into these habits, I’ve built stronger relationships, gained trust from my audience, and grown a leads list filled with people who already know and love the way I show up.
These strategies take a little time, but they’re worth it. And they’ll help you turn your account into a connection-driven space your people want to come back to.
