Here’s how I decide where to tag:
📍 If you’re a local biz: Tag your city or neighborhood
🌎 If you serve online: Tag places your dream clients live
🏪 Bonus: Tag your own business name/location once in a while to remind people where you are!
Most scheduling tools even let you tag a location before it goes live, so it takes zero extra time 🙌🏼
2. Engage Before and After You Post
Yes, engagement really does matter.
Here’s my go-to system:
💬 I engage before posting (to let the algorithm know I’m active)
💌 I reply to comments and story DMs after posting
❤️ I make genuine comments on my feed + stories that build community
I’ve noticed a huge difference between posts I engage around vs. posts I just let sit. This step boosts reach and builds connection.
3. Include a CTA Every Time
You always need a call to action, even if you’re not selling anything.
Why? Because your audience needs to know what to do with your content.
If you're not actively launching or selling, your CTA can be as simple as:
