How to Use Instagram’s Text Carousel Feature to Boost Engagement (Without Doing More)
Let’s talk about one of Instagram’s easiest (and most effective) features right now, text carousels.
I’ve tried them out multiple times, and the results speak for themselves: better views than some of my reels, more value delivered, and way less time spent creating.🙌🏼
Not only are they super simple, they also let you show up with value in a way that feels personal, engaging, and straight to the point.
💡 Here are a few post ideas to try using the text carousel feature:
-

Meet the team — with fun facts or embarrassing moments to keep it human
🧪 What I’ve learned from testing these:
1. Keep it black and white.
Seriously. Whenever I used other colors, things got weird. I double-checked everything, but Instagram still posted it strangely. Stick to white and black text boxes to be safe.
2. The first slide is everything.
If your hook isn’t strong enough, people won’t even swipe. Make that first slide count.
3. Transparency wins.
People love the real and raw. The more transparent I was, the better these performed.
4. Don’t drag it out.
Yes, you can have 20 slides… but that doesn’t mean you should. Keep it tight, value-packed, and swipe-worthy.
When we have fun creating content, we’re more likely to be consistent, and that’s what drives long-term growth.
