Here’s what’s true: we’re often way too focused on follower count.
I talk with so many potential clients who feel stuck in this cycle, constantly checking the number, worrying if it’s too low, wondering what they’re doing wrong.
And I totally get it! Social media can make us believe that more followers automatically means more success. But that’s not always the case.
π What actually matters? Quality over quantity.
Having a few engaged followers who truly care about what you do will always matter more than hundreds of people who never interact.
Those followers who are already here? They chose to follow you. They want to see what you offer. That’s powerful.
So instead of focusing on the people who aren’t following you yet, let’s shift the mindset…
Think of it this way:
If five customers walked into your store, would you greet them with excitement and start a conversation? Or would you sit behind the counter thinking, “Ugh, why isn’t it ten?”
You’d talk to the five! You’d connect. You’d likely make a sale. π¬
It only takes one person to buy to make a sale and those loyal, engaged followers are the ones most likely to do just that.
So give them your energy. Serve them well. Create content that’s personal and helpful and made for them.
Trust me: focusing on the followers you already have is one of the best strategies for growth.
